NASUA strives to advance social, health, and economic policies responsive to the needs of a diverse aging population. NASUA provides a focal point of communication before Congress and the Administration in an effort to expand opportunities and resources for, current and future generations of older persons, adults with disabilities and their families. NASUA staff members provide information to federal policymakers on a wide variety of issues to provide them with a better understanding of the aging network services and supports. NASUA’s Policy Committee serves as an advisory board to the Board of Directors of NASUA on federal policy matters.
