NASUA works directly with state and federal agencies to design and implement services and supports that improve the aging services network. Our members are responsible for the administration of the Older Americans Act; assisting individuals and their caregivers with finding information and resources regarding their long-term care needs; and the majority of our members are also responsible for the administration of the Medicaid Home and Community Based Waiver programs. In addition, many of our members also now serve individuals of all ages with long-term care supports and services needs. NASUA’s initiatives to serve our members are organized into three core areas:
