For more than thirty years, the national aging information and referral network has been a critical gateway in every community across the nation, welcoming callers, answering questions and linking consumers to valuable services and supports. Helping this comprehensive aging information and referral network provide the highest quality and most professional service possible is the goal of the National Aging Information and Referral Support Center.
The National Aging Information and Referral Support Center provides information and referral systems design and management, service delivery and professional staff development supports to state and local aging networks. Training, technical assistance, product development and consultation are provided to build capacity and promote continuing development of aging information and referral services nationwide. The National Association of State Units on Aging administers the National Aging Information and Referral Support Center. Funding is provided by the Administration on Aging, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The Alliance of Information and Referral Systems (AIRS) and the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (n4a) are key partners in the success of the Center.
